Stellantis partners with CloudMade to
develop intelligent mobility products

PARIS, LONDON, WROCŁAW, KYIV – Stellantis and CloudMade announced their collaboration to develop intelligent mobility products. The first step in this collaboration is a partnership with Citroën India to develop a driver companion app named C-Buddy.

India is a new market for Citroën and one with significant potential that will soon be the third largest in the world. As a new market player, Citroën is offering an ATAWADAC customer experience unprecedented in the automotive sector – network, sales website and innovative services – all digital.

Over the past 10 years CloudMade, with offices in London (United Kingdom), Wrocław (Poland) and Kyiv (Ukraine), has developed machine learning technology used to transform car and mobility user experiences, making them simpler, safer and more engaging. Partnering with global OEMs and Tier-1s, CloudMade is known as a trusted expert for artificial intelligence solutions in the automotive market.

This collaboration between Citroën India and CloudMade was unveiled during the presentation of the new Citroën C3 in July 2022. For C3 owners, CloudMade has developed the driver companion app “C-Buddy”, which adds intelligence to journeys, saves time and reduces stress of the driver. It helps avoid arriving late for events, speeds up navigating to places and builds a rich history of visited locations that can be accessed for future journeys.

After installing, the app starts to collect driver’s visited places. Using GPS and calendar data, C-Buddy creates relevant suggestions (also known as “predictions”) about navigation and communication.

To keep the driver organized, C-Buddy provides valuable predictions:

  • Navigation predictions to calendar events
  • Notifications about daily Work trips
  • Conference calls reminders
  • Departure notifications inside Android Auto

One of the main purposes of the app is to allow one-tap navigation when the driving starts. When connected to Android Auto, C-Buddy app will be mirrored on the vehicle screen. C-Buddy also uses Google Assistant and Siri shortcuts to create handy voice commands.

CloudMade’s software technology aligns perfectly with the Stellantis vision of true customer-centricity and Citroën’s innovative brand positioning. Modern, digital products which connect with the driver’s smartphone. Products that are customised based upon the user’s personal habits and preferences, reflecting their tastes and personalities.
