CloudMade’s Specialist Tools give advanced geo developers the flexibility to create innovative applications built on the same HTTP APIs that our own platform is built on.

Custom Map Tiles – Create custom map styles using the Style Editor and access the tiles directly via a standards based API that returns tiles as 64x64 or 256x256 pixel PNG images.
Vector Stream Server – Get access to rich vector map data in SVG or JSON format accessed via a bounding box or tiled API.
Routing – Add vehicle, pedestrian or bicycle routes and driving / walking / cycling directions to any application. Response available in JSON or GPX formats and contains detailed route summaries and meta data.
Geocoding – Geocode structured addresses, countries, places and regions. Reverse geocoder returns hierarchical information about any lat-lon point. Both geocoders return responses as JSON or GPX formats.
Local Search – Search through a huge and constanly updated database of places of interest that includes shops, businesses, tourist attractions, amenities and more. Add data from the Data Market Place to create an even more detailed local experience.
