iGo Bielefeld is the first city guide for Bielefeld available as an app. The audio guide leads to 35 stations within Bielefeld's historic city center and the towns landmark castle „Sparrenburg“. Churches, ancient buildings or the beginnings of Dr. Oetker company - almost 2 hours of audio provide lots of information. All spoken text is also available for reading. More than 100 images give additional impressions. With map, positioning and a „what‘s nearby“ functionality you‘ll never get lost on this tour.
I found it extremely straightforward to implement the needed mapping functionality, especially an offline version!

The app is the perfect companion tool for the new service, allowing users to plan routes and locate the closest cycle stations using their iPhones, iPods and iPads when traveling in London. As Transport for London (TfL) open up more data on the service, FIPLAB Ltd plans to add live cycle counts at each station.

Ride the City avoids roads that aren't meant for biking and tries to steer cyclists toward routes that maximize the use of bike lanes, bike paths, greenways, and other bike-friendly streets while avoiding steep hills. The application also shows bike shops and bike rental facilities nearby, providing contact information and hours of operation.
Style Editor gave us an incredible amount of flexibility in the way we emphasize local streets vs. highways for bicyclists.

POI's include vets and dog friendly places. The app presents a mobile version of the website with access to forums, videos and much more.
We chose CloudMade over MapKit to overcome licensing restrictions on real time tracking. CloudMade was also extremely easy to integrate.

On the website, a collection of ideas to make Hamburg a better city can be found - and everbody is invited to participate: add their own ideas, comment, vote and update other ideas. The "Nexthamburg Navigator" displays locations on the map that users have sent from their iPhone using the "Nexthamburg App". The default "Nexthamburg map style" was created using CloudMade tools.
The CloudMade Style Editor allowed us to easily create a map style that perfectly fits to our web design.

We used the CloudMade’s Web Maps API to create a cool little widget to show directions to both our offices in Philly and Boston on our website. MTBNavi.de offers the user ready-to-use mountainbike maps for Garmin gps devices. An online map with a special style file showing tracks in yellow and trails in red allows a preview of the possibilities OpenStreetMap offers for outdoor use. Unimportant features like roads are shown in low contrast to give a nice clean and uncluttered map layout.
Thanks to the CloudMade Style Editor I could create a map showing only the features being important for mountainbikers.

Crimespotting is an interactive map of crimes and a tool for understanding crime in cities. If you hear sirens in your neighborhood, you should know why. Crimespotting makes this possible with interactive maps, e-mail updates, and RSS feeds of crimes. Crimespotting was designed and built by Stamen Design, initially as an effort to improve on the city of Oakland's out-dated official map. It was subsequently expanded to San Francisco by invitation as part of the city's DataSF program.
Cloudmade's "Pale Dawn" map style was created by Stamen ensuring data points, not roads are the primary feature of Crimespotting's map.
